Study programs, research activities, and study tours are essential to link lectures in class to the practical tasks. Therefore, PNCA requires teachers and students to get involved in field activities, laboratory, farms and rural community.

Facilities that are used to support the teaching and research include research stations, computer laboratory, chemical laboratory, conference room, farmer field schools and research projects.

The training may be held either at on campus of PNCA or another venue upon request.

COURSE FEE

  1. Tuition fee: $95.00/person/week or $185.00/day for an unlimited number of persons cover the tuition fee, training supplies, materials and refreshments.
  2. Other fee: Accommodation and meals can be arranged by additional payment
  3. Applications will be accepted until 3 days before the course begin. 15 % of the course fee should be paid in advance

  2. A candidate is eligible for AD private paying scheme, if sh/he holds a high school certificate of previous year before applied year, or failed high school study, or holds an equivalence to high school certificate

Students must spend annual cost for 1.300,000 riel or 650.000 riel per semester.

The B.Sc program is required to complete 127 credits for 4 years with following arrangement:

  1. Foundation Year study program will focus on general agricultural knowledge, general science, computer and English
  2. Students will study specialization subjects which focus more on practical work and study tour
  3. students will complete a 6 months research and write a thesis, then they have to defend their thesis in the final year to complete the course.
  4. Successful students will qualify for “Bachelor Degree of Science”.

ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS

Students can be eligible or choose two different study schemes: government scholarship scheme and private paying scheme.

  1. A candidate is eligible for B.sc government scholarship scheme, if sh/he holds a high school certificate of applied year (selected by Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports)
  2. A candidate is eligible for B.sc private paying scheme, if sh/he holds a high school certificate of previous year before applied year, or Associate Degree Certificate or equivalence certificate.

National Institute of Agriculture (PNCA) is located in Sangkat Prek Leap, Khan Chhroy Changvar, Phnom Penh. It was established in 1948 as a Red Corn Genetic Research Station and it became an agricultural training institute in 1951. In the 1960s, under the support from the United States, PNCA had developed its program in diploma degree in agricultural fields. Because of Civil Ware, PNCA was closed in 1975 but it was reopened in 1984. In 2002, PNCA had became public administrative institution under name of  National Institute of Agriculture (PNCA) which offers associate degree and bachelor degree in agricultural sciences to the students.

PNCA main campus covers an area of 8 hectares and it also has a farm of 18 hectares in Tram Kok, Takeo province and 300 hectares in Tpong, Kampong Speu province.
